Iwao serves as the Data Analytics Chief for PepsiCo’s eCommerce division. He is responsible for developing PepsiCo’s eCommerce analytics vision & strategy for its in-house analytic solutions for pricing, media & search marketing, promotions, inventory management and sales operations. To execute this vision & strategy, Iwao is managing top-tier talent in eCommerce data engineering, analytics, machine learning and business intelligence as well as overseeing PepsiCo’s relationships with both 2nd and 3rd party data providers.
Prior to PepsiCo, Iwao was General Motors’ (GM) Chief Data & Analytics Officer where he was responsible for the company’s CRM, customer lifetime value and hybrid cloud migrations. Iwao was also GM’s data evangelist for its extensive community of data analytic and ML/AI professionals and was a member of the investment board for GM Ventures. Prior to GM, Iwao was the NFL’s Senior Vice President of Data & Analytics with a remit to improve the safety of the game of football, grow the league’s fanbase.
